KEEPING TIME. Preserving and documenting local history since 1989

MHHS aims to preserve, document, acquire and interpret the history of the Eastern Hills near Perth, Western Australia. MHHS assists individual researchers, schools and other groups to compile local history. The Society has a large Archive of information relating to the history of the Shire of Mundaring. The Mundaring District Museum, opened in 1997, houses a permanent display about people, places and events of historical interest to the Shire.

What we do and why we matter : our projects and resources

Our current exhibition, "Open All Hours" interprets the history of shopping in the Shire of Mundaring, and how changing lifestyles and patterns of consumption have affected how, when, and where we shop, as well as what we buy.

Come and explore the exhibition - the Museum is open every day!

Gold Coin Donation Appreciated.
