Revitalisation of the Town Centre

Updated: Sep 10, 2023

Some of you will be aware that the Shire of Mundaring is working on the creation of a new

“civic and cultural heart” of Mundaring town centre. This will be a new Multipurpose Community

Building which will include a new library and other facilities. Alongside this will be new uses for such

buildings as the existing Hall and old School House, now the Visitors Centre and Museum.

This has prompted us to look at the streetscape of Great Eastern Highway from Mann Street through

to Stoneville Road (formerly Hodgson Street) and track the changes, especially the area near the

traffic light intersection.

We have a few photographs in our collection and are actively looking for more to document

past and upcoming changes.

We need more images can you help?
